I've begun my life here, well
actually it began the second I got off the plane
from Taiwan. Initially yes I was in mass cultural
rejection mode for some reasons I don't fully
understand but after yesterday's orientation??
AH...Much better now. I've found my place to live,
Hasuk Jip near Sinchon Yok, Sinchon station. I feel
so much more alive abroad, I don't wanna go back
to the US for any extended period of time,
its just plain suffocation of personality and
such a lack of cultural essence compared to here.
I'll take pictures of nightlife here. There's NO
comparison to Myeong dong or Hongdae, NO such
equivelant in the Bay area or ALL of California.
Why some people believe America is the dreamland
is beyond me...Their perspective is too small,
that's all. Every time i'm abroad my focus becomes
stronger, I see what I want in life and what I don't.
Taiwan is such an awesome country, really the
essence of an international community without the
accompanying animosity that many other asian countries
have due to past war crimes. Korea is very technologically
advanced but some of the styles are really wack, such
as what I call the "bob" head, hair cut like a mushroom.
This guy I know and I are going to make a video making
fun of certain aspects of various cultures in good
humor, haha so many brilliant ideas! It WILL go on youtube!
That's all for now. I don't even have a cell phone now
because I'm waiting for my foreigner registration to go
through, takes 10 days, dang, can't even get a cell phone
till then..dying.....ahh..........

Taiwan Baby!!

I'm sitting in the Taipei YH right now.
Today is Hot Springs day! My lovely friend
has been a great guide. Today is the
first rest day. I arrived in Taipei last
Friday at 5:15AM local time, and took a
tiny bit of time finding the right bus
to get to my Youth hostel. Taiwan, especially
Taipei is GREAT! I love the food, people
are friendly, cheap zen zu nai cha, GREAT!
Went to 2 clubs also, first one was best,
the host girl was from Seattle, and was
drinking tequila while dancing, haha.
Second club was scary, too many waiguoren
and some weird old white people. I took
a Japanese guy I randomly met at my Youth
Hostel to the club along with us, so we
had four people in our group. Due to some
good connections we got in free to both ;)
I'll put some pics now. Enjoy!

Itching and Aching T-25 HRS till BLASTOFF
Yes I wanna go now. YES.
And yes Julie, I will win when
we're on the island, hands down,
muahaha, only question is how will
it end? OMG OMGOMOOGMOGMOMGOMG
I just realized I leave in 24 HOURS!!
HOLY CRAP!! Like this is my LAST
night here. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Panicking is in full mode NOW. 1:40AM
the party begins. OMG its reality,
this is my dream and its coming true,
hahah I'm so asian. This is the beginning
of a deep breath that will propel me into
a new reality. I want to be changed and
never go backwards. Life is forward motion,
you stop you're good as dead.
I am OUT peeps. Next post will be from Taiwan
if I get around to it, nah I'll be having
too much fun. Dang I'm getting eaten by ants
in here. Holy crap don't wanna forget anything.
Someone needs to run me through a checklist.
Julie we're doing survivor on an island together,
its just a matter of time, you don't have a choice ;)
All I know is I've gotten way too domesticated since
I got back from China, my blood will explode If I don't
LEAVE! PEACE lovies, see you on the flipside.
This whole blog is incoherent because it perfectly
reflects my mental state at the time of writing it.
HAHAH ByE!

Yoooooooooo
Haven't posted in awhile, long while.
While there's really no excuse, I'd have to
lend it to boredom. Actually I was super
busy for a month taking care of my interns
which was an awesome job/role that I really
enjoyed. It was a mix of PR and Logistics, etc.
SUPER!! I'm OUT to Taiwan in BARELY a week!!!!!!
I'm goin crazy here, trying to fill the time,
gotta do a random roadtrip. I replaced my Mazda's
windshield which REALLY needed it haha. I've had
tons of fun with the AMAT kids and will miss them.
I call them kids because I feel its my prerogative
to do so (disregarding the fact that they're 20-25 :)
I feel stagnant in life, need to find something
to lock onto, new hobby or something. In 8 days I'm
going on the adventure I always dreamed about,
the beginning of a study abroad program that I
want to change my perspective forever, and lead to
new horizons. Flipped my last laptop on CL, bought
a Sony with a zombie fan that costs like 79 to replace
for a REFURB!!! Holy #%*%..
I'm debating whether to randomly rent a car and drive
till my gas runs out in some direction, is that the
def. of boredom? Can't wait to get into the Taiwanese
night life WOOHOOO!! I'm waiting for my new cam
which has higher res video, not 720P but WS nonetheless.
I'll keep ya posted ;)
