So! I bought my newest laptop in Korea via the lovely x-rate and decided to upgrade
Haruka (my VAIO) to speak English (English version of Vista). This Vaio is the hands down best designed notebook I've seen par none. Garnished in Carbon fiber and brushed aluminum it weights a mere 3.4 lbs, now less of course with my Ultron SSD hdd installed. The Ulton drive is blazing fast, giving 140/90 Sequential burst speed when clocked wit Crystal Mark.
The advantages of SSD are endlss, it produces basically no heat, 0db noise, uses less than half the power, and is more than 2x the speed of normal hdd's, can you say bye bye to the spinning hdd? The hdd was the bottleneck for PC's for a long time, well not anymore!
No more clicking noises, no more telltale sounds of the hdd breathing its last, those days are gone! My once-inernal SATA hdd's now sit in extenal 2.5" cases as backup devices :) Bond is using the newly introduced TT model in the upcoming "Quantum Solace" video, but I prefer this 13.3 size. 11.1 inches is a bit cramped for regular use like me. Either way they are both gorgeously designed in both terms of fashion and function.
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. Check out the pics and I think you'll agree.
The official Sony site is here
Sony you do the BEST job at PC hardware construction and build quality PAR NONE.
Would I buy another in the future? Yes. Would I buy the new TT as part of my collection if I had the $$? Definitely. Am I addicted to the design and addicted to computers in general? Absolutely, I'm practically her slave.haha.
On a more practical note midterms didn't pan out so well, at all, really really depressing. I had 4 in one day, that was just sadistically wrong. Good news? This is only the 1/2way point of the semester, meaning betting B's is slightly possible.uggh.
A note on the weather, FINALLY its changed. It's nice and cold (I LOVE IT) and it rained some today. There's no SEASONS in California, and the weaher channel was a joke, haha. I love having distinct seasons!!
