Culture shock.
It's not for wusses.
Korea has definitely been a trial by error process
thus far.
This semester is over. The going to classes, listening
to some great and some hellish lectures, OVER.
Yes finals start tomorrow.
Being here has frustrated me up to my neck
and I couldn't deal with it for awhile but I've
learned how to deal with it somewhat now.
Yes Korean culture is wack and doesnt make sense
in a lot of ways, so I let it stay that way. I do
my own thing and be myself.
I used to be really angry at the traditional nature of Korean society,
how they mostly all look and act the same, and judge foreigners
etc etc etc.. but now I see its just how they are.
They're products of their society for better or worse.
I'm a VERY open-minded person in a conformist society and
will always stay non-conformist to ways I think are not reasonable. period!
Traveling is one of the best if not the best teacher in life.
It has been my biggest eye-opener.
All travelers are searching for something. Traveling is a personification
of life, meaning a cluster of experiences meant to teach you something.
Different cultures are definitely worth exploring,
but staying long periods of time somewhere you don't
love is either a learning experience or just hell, haha.
